My radio doesn't work! What to do?
We present a small grid to diagnose common problems appliances transceivers. Without making you a specialist, it may help you out if necessary.
Symtoms: Do not turn on:
Check the power supply (batteries weak or wrong, fuse grilled external power poorly connected.)
The fuse burns constantly:
Protection against reverse polarity active or defective feed wires shorted.
Reception OK, no signal transmission or low:
Microphone cable or faulty or improperly connected, low battery, bad length antenna, coaxial cable connectors or damaged, poor settings of the camera.
Reception low transmission OK:
Internal protection against lightning destroyed, misalignment.
Reception and transmission low:
Poor alignment of the device, or antenna damaged. The conditions of propagation can also be capricious. Retry at a different time of day.
Reception distorsionnée, OK Transmission:
Check the setting clarifier or realignment of the unit.
Transmission off frequency receiver OK:
Crystal Alignment transmission deficient. To adjust.
Receiver noisy:
Perhaps caused by a clogged volume control, a source of local interference, ignition of a motor explosion with a wire candle poorly armored or without resistance (generator).
